Teckenbrock says we might not know the final outcome of the presidential election for a few days, but historically the market tends to perform about the same whether it’s a republican or democrat that’s in charge. She says the best advice is to know what your goals are and to work with your financial advisor to make sure you are in some good, solid investments. And she says when the market goes down, that’s not the time to get out. It’s time to buy more if you can because you’re buying at a discount and historically that fund will rebound.
