Ernest Clayton Pearson, 99, of Paducah, KY formerly of Mt. Carmel, IL, passed away at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah.
Mr. Pearson was a retired agent for CSX Railroad, a United States Army Air Force Veteran, member of American Legion Post 31, a former member of the Transportation and Communication Union. He was of the Baptist Faith and an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Riche of Ft. Branch, IN; step daughter, Sandra Burgen and husband, Art of Paducah, KY; son Michael Pearson of Patoka, IN; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 14 years, Violet M. Sample Pearson, daughter, Jo Lore; and his parents, William and Mable A White Pearson.
A graveside service for Mr. Pearson is scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
