Westbound Lane Restriction on I-24 at 49mm in Lyon County on Sunday, Sept 13

Paducah, KY (Sept 10, 2020) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to restrict westbound traffic to one lane on Interstate 24 at the 49 mile marker in Lyon County on Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2020.

Westbound traffic on I-24 will be restricted to one lane at the 49 mile maker to facilitate a 5 p.m., memorial service for Kentucky State Trooper Cameron Ponder. Trooper Ponder was killed in the line of duty during a traffic stop at this location 5 years ago.

This westbound lane restriction will be just west of the Friendship Road Overpass. It is expected to be in place from approximately 4 p.m., CDT, to about 6 p.m., Sunday.
