Work Zone on I-24 Westbound at 6.5mm on Thursday Evening, Sept 10

Paducah, KY (Sept 9, 2020) A contractor plans to restrict traffic to one lane on I-24 westbound at the 6.5 mile marker on Thursday afternoon, September 10, 2020.

Westbound I-24 traffic will be restricted to one lane at the 6.5 mile marker in McCracken County starting around 5 p.m., CDT, Thursday, to allow a crew from Central Paving to clear gravel from the median at the site of an August 18 crash. The crew will also do some environmental remediation work.

Westbound motorists should be prepared to encounter slowing and merging traffic around the 6 mile marker at Paducah. All traffic in this work zone will move to the right-hand or driving lane.

This work zone is expected to be in place for about 2 to 3 hours.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
