Sean Janiec signed to continue his academic and athletic career at Freed Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn. Sean will be a two-sport athlete at FHU, signing to play soccer and also to run track for the Lions.

Sean will be joining his brother Seth on the Lions soccer team in the fall, a team from which is older brother Luke just graduated. He helped lead the Marshals team this past fall to district and regional titles. He will then join the track team at FHU in the spring.

At MCHS, Sean ran a broad range of events from the 400 up to the 800 and was working on hurdles for this past season and was a key part of the 4 x 400 relay team that finished 10th at the state meet in 2019. That relay team hold the current MCHS record in the 4 x 400 with a time of 3:34.17.

Sean looks to continue improving in all of his events and we look forward to seeing how well he does at the next level.
