Friday, the American Legion held a flag ceremony for the new Benton branch of the Marshall County Public Library System. During the event, Shae Abell sang the national anthem. The ceremony was the first for this branch as a dedication to the new building for the community to enjoy. The library is working on its reopening phase and will be releasing options to the public, beginning with offering computer appointment times at all the branches, and tours of the new Benton facility.
