Ballot box locations for June 23, 2020 election

Election ballot drop boxes have been placed in the main corridor of the Marshall County Court House (1101 Main St.) on the square in Benton and in the main corridor at Calvert City Hall (861 E 5th Ave.) in Calvert City, according to Marshall County Clerk Tim York.

Ballots for the June 23, 2020 election can be dropped off anytime at the Marshall County Court House Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and at Calvert City Hall Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Absentee ballots may be obtained from the county clerk, in-person or by phone, fax or email. Absentee ballots are treated as securely and secretly as any other ballot, and can be either delivered by a voter personally to these two locations, or mailed back with no postage due.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the June 23 election is Monday, June 15.

Due to the COVID‐19 crisis, the 2020 primary election was moved to June 23, 2020.  The  Governor and the Secretary of State collaborated on an Executive Order that changes the  manner in which this election will be conducted.
