Master Gardener Barbara Ray was a guest on Coffee Call

Master Gardener Barbara Ray joined us on WCBL’s Coffee Call program recently to give us tips on gardening. She said June is the last good month to plant new plants before the summer heat of July and August kicks in. She said some things to do during June is to re-feed your container gardens and hanging baskets and to be on the lookout for ants and aphids, as well as caterpillars. And coming up on Saturday, June 20 is the annual Master Gardeners’ Plant Sale at the Marshall County Extension Office near the bypass. The plant sale will be from 8 am until noon and some of the master gardeners will be there to answer any questions you might have. Proceeds from the sale go to scholarships for Marshall County students.
