Carlen was entering her second year as a member of the Marshall County tennis team this spring. A three-sport student-athlete, she was a member of the swim team and goalkeeper for the Lady Marshals soccer team and a vital part of their three straight regional championships. Carlen is the career leader in shutouts and broke the single-season shut out record, going on to record 18 shut outs her senior season.
Carlen will continue her soccer and academic career at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn., and plans to major in Kinesiology.
