KSP Arrest Benton Man After Pursuit

Benton, KY. (April 27, 2020) – At approximately 5:45 p.m., a Kentucky State Police Trooper observed a black 2000 Kawasaki ZX600 motorcycle headed south on US HWY 641 driving recklessly. Troopers were able to catch up with the motorcycle as it headed north onto Interstate 69. The motorcycle attempted to exit Interstate 69 at Draffenville, but collided with the rear of another vehicle. After the collision, the operator of the motorcycle fled on foot for a short distance before being apprehended near Wellness Way Lane.

The operator was identified as Devin M. Drexler, 23 of Benton, Kentucky. Drexler was charged with Speeding 26 MPH or >, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle), Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (On Foot), Reckless Driving, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance 1st Offence, Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License, and Leaving the Scene of Accident/Failure to Render Aid or Assistance. He was lodged in the Marshall County Jail.
