Work zone lane restriction along U.S. 641 North in Marshall County week of March 2-6

Work to repair recent crash damage to headwalls at Chestnut Creek Culvert

PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. XXX, 2020) — A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a daytime work zone lane restriction along a section of U.S. 641 North in Marshall County the week of March 2 through 6, 2020.

U.S. 641 will be restricted to one lane at mile point 12.18 to allow work at the Chestnut Creek Culvert.  The contractor will repair damage to the culvert headwalls caused by a recent crash.  This work zone is along U.S. 641 North about halfway between KY 58 and U.S. 68 near Draffenville.

This work zone lane restriction with alternating flow controlled by flaggers is expected to be active during daylight hours anytime weather allows.  Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic.  Some minor delays are possible as trucks deliver concrete and other construction materials to the worksite.

Harper Construction, LLC, is the prime contractor working under a Master Agreement.
