Peggy Crane, 82

Peggy J. Crane, age 82, of Paducah, KY passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Peggy was born in Monroe County, KY on February 2, 1938 to the late Elzie and Jane Vibbert. She was married for 55 years to the late Franklin R. Crane. She was a CNA with Lourdes Home Health Care who served and cared deeply for each patient she looked after. She and her husband were members at Southland Baptist Temple where she taught Sunday School and were current members at Oak Level Missionary Baptist Church.

Crafts, reading, and puzzles were a few of her hobbies and she loved to go out to eat. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as someone who was quirky and funny. She was very sociable and never met a stranger. She was strong willed, independent and a fighter.

Peggy is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl Jane Evans (Leo) of Benton, Donna Sue Crane of Reidland, and Darla Jean Crane of Lone Oak; one son, James Allard Hobbs (Lisa) of Paducah; one sister, Norma Sue Lain of Paducah; one brother, Wayne Vibbert of Mayfield; four grandchildren, Steven Lamb, Nathaniel Ryding, Tionna Lavonne Crane, and Kizayah Crane; and two great-grandchildren, Genevieve Lamb and Ethan Brownfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin R. Crane; her parents, Elzie and Jane Vibbert; one daughter, Debbie Crane; one son, Bobby Lynn Crane; and three brothers, James Lee Vibbert, Kenneth Ray Vibbert, and Bobby Vibbert.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes with Bro. C.C. Brasher officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes.
