Virginia Skinner, 89

Mrs. Virginia Skinner, 89, of Murray, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Skinner was born May 23, 1930 in Cottage Grove, Tennessee to the late Herschel and Jewel Page Olive. She was a member of the Church of the Living God in Paris, Tennessee where she was the mother of the church as the eldest member.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Skinner was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Skinner.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include two sons, Clovis Ray of Murray, Rodney Skinner and wife Teresa of Murray; a daughter, Denise Paige and husband Russell of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, R.C. Olive of Murray; three sisters, Zora Sanders of Murray, Verlynn Gaines of Murray, Donna Diaz of Paris, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, LaCosta Beane-Hays, Trae Skinner, Rodney Skinner, Jr., Whitney Villenueva, C.J. Ray, Brittney, Tina Brister along with several great grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. Skinner is set for 12:30 PM on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray. Joe L. Rawls and Andre Richardson will officiate and burial will follow at the Murray City Cemetery.

The family will receive receive visitors from 10 AM until 12 PM on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Heritage Chapel.
