Master Gardener Barbara Ray was our guest on Coffee Call

Master Gardener Barbara Ray joined WCBL’s Chris Freeland on Coffee Call recently. Ray says on big problem with gardening is keeping deer away from your plants. She says tulips, hostas and other plants are like candy to deer, but there are many plants that are not attractive to deer. There is also a homemade deer repellent that you can make to spray on plants that seems to work well. And Ray says there is something new called a scarecrow that you attach to your garden hose that will detect motion and actually spray out water to help scare and drive the deer away. Barbara Ray appears on Coffee Call on the first Monday of each month.
