Marshall County Special Olympics headed to the State Bowling Competition this past weekend in Louisville after they were given a send-off pep rally by the MCHS on Friday morning. The competition was held on December 7th and 8th at both Kingpin Lanes and Fern Valley Strike & Spare. MC Special Olympics had 30 athletes and 10 unified partners competing. They brought home several medals (gold, silver, & bronze), along with some 4th place ribbons too! Their Coach/Co-coordinator Greg Hanisch was very proud of all the athletes including the ones that couldn’t join them at the State Competition.
MC Special Olympics is so grateful to MCHS for the send-off and support, as well as the community support of this program! It truly makes a difference in the lives of the athletes and their families.
