North Marshall Middle School’s golf team finished second in the Middle School State Championships held Saturday at Quail Chase Golf Course in Louisville. North Marshall was tied for first at the end of the round with Robert Campbell Middle but finished second in a scorecard playoff. Both teams finished at +22.
Trinity Beth was the girls’ individual champion for the second year in a row with a 1-under 71. Following Beth in team results – Hayden Powell T21 with a round 82 (+10), Cecelia Ray T5 with 85 (+13), Ryan Stokes shot 94 and T22 (+22) and Paxton Carter finished T55 with 95 (+23).
Also playing from North Marshall, Katie Roberts finished tied at fourth with 84 (+12), Cohen McLeod T40 with a round of 91 (+17) and Sarah Umbarger T10 with 84 (+19). David Jack Morris from South Marshall Middle finished T27 with 84 (+12).
