Milling & paving along KY 299/Kirksey Highway in southern Marshall County starting Friday, Sept 13

PADUCAH, Ky. (Sept 11, 2019) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving along a section of KY 299/Kirksey Highway in southern Marshall County starting Friday, September 13, 2019.

This work zone runs along KY 299/Kirksey Highway from mile point 0.0 at the Marshall-Calloway County line extending northward to the KY 402/Brewers Highway intersection at mile point 1.04.

Jim Smith Contracting is the prime contractor on this $99,474 highway improvement project.  The work is expected to take two to three days to complete.

Motorists should be alert for one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required.
