Marshals win two Saturday over McCracken County and Ohio County

Collin Riley, pictured here in the Marshals August 12 game against Paducah Tilghman, scored the Marshals goal in their 1-0 win over McCracken County. Riley had three goals last week in the Marshals 10-0 win over Lyon County.

The Marshals improve to 8-2 following two wins on Saturday, 1-0 over McCracken County and 4-0 over Ohio County.

Collin Riley scored the only goal in the win over the Mustangs. Ben Burkeen earned the shutout along with five saves. The Marshals took seven shots, five of those on goal. The JV squad beat McCracken County 5-1.

In the 4-0 win over Ohio County, goals came from Collin Shadowen, Kiefer Court, Logan Davis and Drake May with assists going to Pratik Patel and William Lynch. Burkeen had four saves and Grant Blaise had one. The JV Marshals beat Ohio County 5-1.

On Thursday, the Marshals played at Lyon County, winning 10-0. Goals were scored by Collin Riley with three, and a goal each from Patel, Jack Noles, John Wood, Court, Lynch, Jericho Evans, May, Eric Hicks and Nick Mighell. Burkeen had three saves in the shutout. Court, Lynch, Noles, Collin Riley, Mighell and Hicks all recorded assists.

The Marshals will play at Fort Campbell on Thursday.

Junior goalkeeper, Ben Burkeen, has allowed zero goals in the Marshals last three games.
