Roy Asbridge, 82

Mr. Roy Edd Asbridge, 82, of Murray, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Spring Creek Healthcare in Murray.

Mr. Asbridge was born on January 14, 1937 in Dyersburg, TN to the late Clifford and Lena Palmer Asbridge. He retired as general manager from Kroger after 50 years and was in the National Guard. Edd was an avid Murray State basketball and football fan and loved being outdoors. He was a member of Hardin Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death is his brother, Donald Asbridge; a sister, Ernestine Owens; grandson, Tyler Boudreaux, in addition to his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janice Asbridge, to whom he married on January 6, 1957; three daughters, Debbie Steiner (Rick) of Murray, Donna Osbron (Tony) of Paducah and Amy Baker (Chuck) of Murray; six grandchildren, Jordan Steiner, Brett Steiner, Morgan Colyer (Tyler), Haley Boudreaux, Kennedy Baker, Layne Baker.

Funeral services are set for 2 PM on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray. Ricky Cunningham will officiate and burial will follow at Hardin Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tyler Colyer, Jordan Steiner, Brett Steiner, Chuck Baker, Rick Steiner, Pat Scott and Don Cherry.

The family will receive visitors from 12 PM until 2 PM on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Heritage Chapel.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Murray Calloway County Animal Shelter, 81 Shelter Lane, Murray or Murray Calloway County Senior Citizens Center, 607 Poplar Street, Murray.
