Extended closure planned on KY 339/Clinton Road in McCracken County starting August 12

PADUCAH, Ky. (July 29, 2019) — A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close a section of KY 339/Clinton Road in southern McCracken County starting Monday, August 12, 2019.

Starting at 7 a.m., CDT, on August 12, KY 339/Clinton Road will be closed at McCracken County mile point 5.387 to allow construction of a new bridge over Massac Creek.  This closure is along KY 339 between Gum Springs Road and Gatewood Drive.

Message boards have been placed near the Massac Creek Bridge to alert the public to the start date for this extended closure.

There will be a marked detour.

Harold Coffey Construction Co., Inc., is the prime contractor on this 1,063,447 highway improvement project.  The target completion date is November 15, 2019.

This project is part of the Bridging Kentucky Program which seeks to replace or repair about 1,000 critical bridges.  For more information go to www.bridgingkentucky.com.
