Calvert City resident arrested in drug investigation by McCracken Sheriff’s Office

Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people late Friday night and early Saturday morning in McCracken County and have obtained arrest warrants for a third person following a Methamphetamine trafficking investigation.

On Friday, July 12, 2019, at approximately 10:59PM detectives and Sheriff’s deputies stopped a Mercedes Benz driven by 35 year old Cory Daniels in the 3500 block of Lovelaceville Road in McCracken County. During the stop McCracken County Sheriff’s Office K9 “Oscar” alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics coming from the vehicle.

Detectives located a plastic bag containing Crystal Methamphetamine lying in the floorboard behind the front passenger seat. The bag of Methamphetamine weighed 360 grams. Daniels was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Detectives executed a search warrant at Daniels’ residence early Saturday morning located 1925 Evelyn Drive in McCracken County. Jessica Stamper was located in a vehicle in the driveway passed out. Detectives located a small quantity of Methamphetamine inside Stamper’s vehicle. During a search of the residence detectives located and seized a small amount of Methamphetamine and four (4) firearms.

The investigation continued when detectives executed a second search warrant early Saturday morning at 5650 Oaks in McCracken County at Jeramiah Turner’s residence. During a search of the residence detectives located seized 75 additional grams of Methamphetamine, Marijuana, smoking pipes, a digital scale and counterfeit money. Turner was not home at the time the search warrant was executed at his residence.

Detectives have obtained arrest warrants for Turner for trafficking in Methamphetamine, possession of Marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Turner was arrested by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office on April 30, 2019 for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Turner was out on bond at time these incidents occurred.

Detectives determined through the investigation that Daniels and Turner had been obtaining Methamphetamine from a source of supply out of Clarksville TN. Detectives contacted Clarksville Police and the 19th Judicial Drug Task Force who are continuing the investigation in Tennessee.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this investigation by DEA of Paducah. The Methamphetamine seized in these cases could hold an estimated street value of $43,000.
