UPDATE:
Due to a crash reconstruction investigation, I-69/Formerly the Purchase Parkway is expected to remain closed at the 36 mile marker for another 3 to 4 hours.
That would extend the anticipated clearance time to around 12:00 Noon, CDT.
Southbound traffic continues to be diverted at the US 641 Spur at Benton to KY 58 westbound.
Marshall County 911 Dispatch reports the southbound lanes of I-69/Former Purchase Parkway are blocked near the Marshall-Graves County Line between Benton and Mayfield.
The crash involves a SEMI and a pickup truck.
At this time, southbound I-69 traffic is being diverted off at the US 641 Spur Benton Exit 41 Interchange to detour via KY 58 westbound to the KY 131/Said Road Interchange at Mayfield.
Estimated duration is 4 hours.
Northbound traffic at the crash site is reported flowing normally. Caution required.
