KY 272 & KY 1062 Closed at US 68/KY 80 Intersection in Trigg County for 3 Weeks

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has closed KY 272/Old Canton Pike and KY 1062/Maple Grove Road at the intersection with US 68/KY 80 in Trigg County.

KY 272/Old Canton Pike and KY 1062/Maple Grove Road are closed to allow placement of a culvert and completion of connections to the New US 68/KY 80 Corridor at this site.

KY 272/Old Canton Pike and KY 1062/Maple Grove Road are expected to remain closed at this site for about 3 weeks.

There is a marked detour via KY 1075/Old Dover Road.

Existing US 68/KY 80 will remain open to traffic at this intersection.

This work is part of a larger project to construct approximately 8 miles of new 4-lane highway between Cadiz and Canton in Trigg County.  This active work zone includes flaggers to control traffic flow in areas where traffic on the existing US 68/KY 80 may encounter construction equipment working on the new roadway.

Rogers Group is the prime contractor on the $54 million project.  The project is expected to be completed early next year.
