Betty Looper, 80

Betty Doris Looper, 80, of Smithland passed away at 10:54 PM on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Rivers Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa.

Mrs. Looper worked as a Cook for Livingston County School System and retired from Salem Nursing Home. Betty was also a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church in Mayfield.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicky Dunbar and husband Mike of Smithland; several step children; two brothers, James Croft of Princeton, Robert Croft of Princeton; one sister, Diane Armstrong of Smithland; two grandchildren, Shane Dunbar and wife Jackie of Smithland, Tia Agent and husband Allen of Draffenville; three great grandchildren, Brayden Dunbar, Benjamin Dunbar, Leighton Agent; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy Armstrong; second husband, Neil Looper; father, Carl Storms; mother, Ruby (Thomas) Croft; one sister; one brother.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Ronnie Sinson Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery in Salem.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
