Marshall County Coroner appoints new Deputy Coroner

Staying with his campaign pledge in selecting either law enforcement, medical, or emergency management, Marshall County Coroner Michael Gordon has selected Kent Lawrence a graduate of MCHS and former law enforcement with the USAF as a deputy coroner for Marshall County.
Deputy Lawrence has experience in death investigations in the US Air Force as well as search and recovery in disaster scenes of plane crash sites in the Alaskan wilds.
Lawrence was sworn into office by State Rep Chris Freeland. He replaces long time deputy Barry Taylor who retired on March 9th 2019.
He will spend the next  few months in training with Coroner Michael Gordon and Chief Deputy Coroner Curt Curtner before attending the Coroner’s Basic Training Academy in Frankfort.
