KSP Makes DUI Arrest after Pursuit in McCracken County

Paducah, KY (May 9, 2019)Trooper Justin Rundles was on routine patrol on Clarks River Road when he observed a black Dodge pick-up truck traveling in the oncoming lane of traffic swerving between lanes, on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at approximately 10:06 P.M. Trooper Rundles attempted a traffic stop on the pick-up truck which was being operated by William S. Mills, 41 of Paducah, KY.  Mills slowed and pulled into a business lot at Clarks River Rd and Bridge Street, after pulling into the lot, Mills then accelerated and pulled onto Bridge Street.  During the pursuit Mills threw several items out of his vehicle, which were recovered by McCracken County Deputies, the pursuit ended on Hardmoney Road, where Mills was arrested without incident.  Mills was charged with speeding 26 MPH or greater of the speed limit, DUI 1st aggravating circumstances, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st degree Motor Vehicle, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree drug unspecified, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance.  Mills was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
