The following arrests were made by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office

On 04-25-2019 Deputy Greenfield was dispatched to the Calvert City Road area in reference to a citizen being shot at while driving a van. The caller could see who was identified as Mr. Alex Burton holding a long gun when he heard the shot go off. The citizen was driving the van in an attempt to diagnose a mechanical problem. Deputy Greenfield made contact with Burton where he told Deputy Greenfield he thought the van driving around was suspicious so he fired a round into the gravel of his driveway when the van passed by again. As a result of the investigation, Burton was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment 1st degree, possession of controlled substance 1 degree 1st offense, possession of marijuana, & drug paraphernalia.

On 04-29-2019 Deputy Rowley responded to an address on West Unity Church Rd to assist probation & parole. While probation and parole officers were speaking with someone at the door, Deputy Rowley observed a male & female sleeping in what appeared to be a broke down truck in the front lawn. The male in the truck was identified as Mr. Robert Trent. Deputy Rowley recovered a plastic wrapper with a white substance in it from his pant pocket. Trent was detained and handcuffed. Trent then began to run away where he was quickly caught. The white substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. Trent was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine) & fleeing or evading police 2nd degree (on foot). Trent also had outstanding warrants.

On 05-01-2019 Capt. Lane was dispatched to speak with Mr. Andy Davenport whom owns Fast Eddie’s in reference to an employee possibly taking lottery tickets while working and not paying for them. Mr. Davenport provided evidence of tickets that had been played , receipts of winning tickets that were cashed in as well. An interview was conducted with Ms. Nicola McClure whom was suspected in the case. Ms. McClure was asked if there were any tickets in her purse and she retrieved several from her purse. Security video was also reviewed. As a result of the investigation Ms. McClure was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking $500.00 or more but under $10,000.00.

On 05-01-2019, Deputy Oakley conducted a traffic stop in the Draffenville area. Deputy Oakley made contact with the operator Mr. Darrell Vogle. During the stop, Deputy Oakley located a glass pipe with burn marks on it. The pipe field tested positive for methamphetamine. Mr. Vogle was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia, & tampering with physical evidence.

On 05-03-2019, Deputy Z. Johnson was dispatched to an address where a female had been assaulted. After further investigation, it was determined that she had fallen and not been assaulted. In the mean time, Mr. Robert Rapp arrived operating a vehicle. Deputies made contact with Rapp where he was suspected of being impaired. After further investigation and field sobriety Rapp was arrested and charged with DUI 1st offense.

On 05-03-2019, Deputy Greenfield was conducting patrols on Griggstown Road when he observed a vehicle weaving just ahead of him. A traffic stop was conducted where contact was made with the operator Mr. Monty McLeod. As a result of the investigation, Mr. McLeod was arrested and charged with DUI 1st offense.

On 05-04-2019, Deputy Maness conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle swerve several times. Contact was made with the operator Mr. Kerry Henson. Henson was observed to be making jerking, rapid motions and could not remain still. Henson also had a front passenger identified as Mr. Jack Morgan. As Deputy Maness was conducting an interview with Henson he observed Morgan moving to the console and placing something there. As a result of the investigation Mr. Henson was arrested and charged with careless driving, DUI 1st offense, possession of controlled substance 1st degree, first offense (methamphetamine), & drug paraphernalia. the passenger Mr. Morgan was also arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine), and drug paraphernalia.

On 05-06-2019, Deputy Maxlow conducted a traffic stop on Mr. James Rodel. Rodel was active for 2 warrants. After further investigation Rodel was arrested and charged with the following: DUI 1st offense, operating on suspended or revoked license, license to be in possession, failure to notify address change to DOT, no registration, no registration receipt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, failure to produce insurance card, improper registration plate, possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, theft of motor vehicle registration plate, possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, possession controlled substance, 3rd degree -drug unspecified, and possession of synthetic drugs-1st offense.
