Hickory, KY (April 21, 2019) –Rodney L. Evans, 50 of Mayfield , KY died at 11:22 P.M. at Baptist Health Paducah, on April 20, 2019. Evans was an inmate at the Graves County Jail, who became unresponsive and was transported to Jackson Purchase ER and later transferred to Baptist Health. Another Graves County Jail inmate is being treated at a Paducah Hospital from an apparent overdose. KSP and Graves County Jail are investigating the origin of the contraband.
KSP Detective SGT Brett Miller is conducting the death investigation. An Autopsy is still pending on Evans. Kentucky State Police Investigating Inmate Death
Paducah, KY (April 21, 2019) –Kentucky State Police Post 1 is investigating the death of an inmate from the Graves County Jail. The McCracken County Coroner’s Office notified KSP of an inmate death on Sunday April 21, 2019 at approximately 01:00 A.M. An inmate in the Graves County Jail was discovered on 4-20-19 at approximately 5:27 P.M. that was unresponsive, needing medical attention. The inmate was taken by EMS to Jackson Purchase Medical Center and later transferred to Baptist Health Paducah where he died at approximately 11:22 P.M.
