Mrs. Maranda Jane Oakley, 73 of Benton, KY died on Monday, April 8, 2019, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY. She was the co-owner of Oakley’s Lawn and Garden and was a member of Hamlet Baptist Church since 1968.
Born Tuesday, November 27, 1945 in Trigg Co, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Douglas Dunn and the late Mattie Mae (Lamkin) Dunn.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Howard L. Oakley of Benton, KY, son, Howard Dwayne Oakley of Benton, KY, daughter, Debra Jane York of Knoxville, TN, daughter-in-law, Christie Jo Oakley of Hardin, KY, brother, Ronald Eugene Dunn of Union City, TN, sister, Linda Dean Dunn Green of Union City, TN, and grandchildren, Logan Oakley and Colton Oakley of Hardin, KY.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Hamlet Baptist Church, Benton, KY with Bro. Chuck Houston, Bro. Jack Studie and Bro. Glen Cope officiating.
Interment will follow in the Long Creek Cemetery, Land Between the Lakes, KY.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Hamlet Baptist Church, Benton, KY.
