Monday’s 176th Tater Day Parade wrapped up several days of Tater Day activities. Barney Thweatt was chosen as the 2019 Tater Day Parade Grand Marshal. Thweatt celebrated his 89th birthday on Sunday, March 31. Among his many accomplishments, Thweatt was a member of the 1948 State Champion Brewers Redman basketball team who completed their season with a 36-0 record, one that still stands today.
