Marshall County High School’s Archery Team earned second place at last weekend’s Ky. NASP Region 1 Tournament at Trigg County with a team score of 3365 (186 tens), (CLICK HERE for story). Four other area schools competed including North Marshall, South Marshall, Christian Fellowship and Olive Homeschool Co-op.
North Marshall Middle School finished third among seven teams in the middle school division. North Marshall finished with a score of 3194 (116 tens) led by Christian Jones who placed second out of 93 archers with a score of 290 (22 tens). Ashlyn Story had the second best score among the NMMS team with 280 (13 tens) placing her fourth of 79 in the middle school girls division.
South Marshall Middle School did not score as a team with nine archers. The top score for SMMS came from Memphis Ford with 278 (14 tens) which ranked him 11th out of 93 followed by Gunner Boatright with 273 (12 tens) to finish 17th of 93.
Christian Fellowship finished in ninth in the high school division with a score or 2787 (50 tens). The CFS team was led in by Autumn Kammerdiener with a score of 265 (7 tens) finishing 36th of 86.
Marshall County’s Olive Homeschool Co-op team placed seventh in the high school division with 3142 (118 tens). Leading the way was Jirah Thompson with an individual score of 293 (24 tens) to finish first out of 93 middle school boys. Levi Thompson placed first among 61 elementary boys for the Olive Homeschool team with 276 (14 tens).
