The CFS Lady Eagles and Eagles lost their opening games in the Region 1 All “A” Classic held at Mayfield this week. The Lady Eagles fell 43-36 to Ballard Memorial while the Eagles fell to CCA 55-45. The Lady Bombers fell to Mayfield 45-17 on Tuesday. Mayfield will play Murray Saturday to decide the All “A” title.
Gracie Howard led the Lady Eagles with 15 points, Jayden Jackson 4, Rachel Howard 4, Edie Little 4, Jaycie Jackson 4, Irvan 3, Shields 2.
The Lady Eagles lost 53-16 to University Heights on Tuesday, led by Gracie Howard with 8 points, Irvan 4, Lillian Burnett 3, Shields 1. CFS (7-10) will play at Livingston Central (1-17) Jan. 25.
The Eagles lost 55-45 to CCA in the All “A” Classic. Trailing 14-2 at the end of the first quarter and by 30 points at halftime, CFS out-scored CCA in the second half by eight points but the first half deficit was too much to overcome.
CCA went on to fall to Mayfield 78-36.
The Eagles were led by Luke Grigg with 16 points, Ari Phillips 11, Andrew Cary 6, Andrew Allen 5, Mikey Bivin 4, Andrew Dunning 2, Ethan Binkley 1.
The Eagles (3-15) will tip-off against the Marshals tonight (Friday) at 7:30 in the Marshall County Shootout.
