UPDATE:  SEMI Crash Blocking I-24 Eastbound Lanes at the 18mm in Marshall County

ONE Eastbound lane of I-24 is now OPEN at the 18mm.

The recovery crew managed to move the truck to allow traffic to pass.  However, with the continuing traffic backup, we continue to recommend the detour to help reduce traffic delays at the site.

The eastbound lanes of I-24 are blocked at the 18 mile marker in Marshall County due to an overturned SEMI.  This is along eastbound I-24 near the Marshall-McCracken County Line.

McCracken County DES and deputies will be diverting eastbound traffic off at the US 68 Reidland-Paducah Exit 16 Interchange.  Detour is via US 68 West to take US 62 East through Possum Trot to return to I-24 at Calvert City Exit 27.

Estimated Duration is 3 hours.

There is no impact on westbound traffic.
