Marshall County Sheriff’s Office arrest report

On November 27th, Deputy Brandon Little served an arrest warrant charging William Curtis Powell of Benton with Sexual Abuse 1st Degree Victim Under 12 Years of Age.

On November 28th at 1:00am, Sergeant Tim Reynolds responded to Karen Faye Lane to a disturbance. As a result of the ensuing investigation, Sergeant Reynolds arrested Zachary John Vanskike of Hardin. He was served a warrant out of Trigg County for Non Support. Vanskike was injurred during the disturbance and was therefore taken to Marshall County Hospital ER for treatment. While at the hospital Vanskike continued to be disorderly, yelling, cursing, and spitting. He was then charged with Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree and transported to Marshall County Detention Center after receiving medical treatment. Sergeant Reynolds was assisted by Deputy Dennis Lewis.

On November 28th, Deputy Jason Ivey served a Marshall Circuit Bench Warrant on Laquel Q. Fleming of Bowling Green.

On November 28th, Deputy Jason Ivey served a Marshall Circuit Bench Warrant on Elijah S. Madole of Calvert City.

On November 29th, Captain Matt Hilbrecht arrested two on drug charges. A joint investigation involving KY Probation and Parole, Marshall and McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, US Marshals Task Force, and others resulted in Officers being at a residence on Karen Faye Lane in Hardin. As a result of the ensuing investigation, Captain Matt Hilbrecht charged Kenneth Dean Jr of Hardin with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense Methamphetamine, Drug Paraphernalia Buy / Possess, and Possession of Marijuana. Charissa Lynn Earley of Hardin was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia Buy / Possess. Both were lodged by Captain Hilbrecht in the Marshall County Detention Center.

On November 30th, Deputy Luke Rudd was dispatched to 210 Fly Away Drive in reference to a burglary, where an unknown subject had entered the residence, stolen a change of clothing, and a cellular phone. The subject then stole a set of truck keys and stole the victim’s Chevy SSR pick-up truck. Detective Daniel was enroute to the residence to assist with the investigation and observed the stolen pick-up truck in Draffenville. Deputy Rudd and Detective Daniel were able to stop the pick-up and identified the suspect as being Charles Rich of Benton . Charles admitted to the burglary and was arrested for burglary 2nd degree and theft by unlawful taking over $10,000. Charles Rich was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.

On November 30th, Narcotics Detective Nathan Maxlow received information of possible drug activity at the residence of 26 Robbie Way Benton, KY. Detective Maxlow obtained a search warrant for the residence. Located inside the residence was marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Joseph C. Hunt was cited for the violations.

On November 30th, Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to 431 Hill Estates Lane in reference to an unwanted subject on the premises. Upon arrival Deputy Greenfield located Meldy De Shane Bell asleep inside of her vehicle. Deputy Greenfield conducted a search of the vehicle and located a cut straw and a glass pipe which tested positive for methamphetamine residue. A further search of Melody’s property located inside the residence yield additional drug paraphernalia and controlled prescription medication. Melody Bell was charged with public intoxication, possession of controlled substance 1st degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree.

On December 1st, Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to the intersection of Highway 68 east and Highway 80 in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Further investigation revealed that John T. Walker of Hardin, KY was operating his vehicle under the influence. Mr. Walker was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence 1st offense.

On December 1st, Deputy Chris Greenfield was dispatched to the intersection of Highway 68 east and Highway 80 in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Further investigation revealed that John T. Walker of Hardin, KY was operating his vehicle under the influence. Mr. Walker was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence 1st offense.

On December 2nd, Deputy Nick Spears was dispatched to a motorist assist on Purchase Parkway. Upon arrival Deputy Spears ran a check on the license plate and learned that the truck was stolen out of Union City Tennessee. Christopher W. Pride of Samburg Tennessee was found to be in possession of the stolen vehicle and was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000.
