The Marshall County Youth Soccer Association started a new tradition this year to give back to their community.

Teams and their athletes were asked to bring in items throughout the season to be donated to Marcella’s Kitchen. The idea was generated from the fact that as an organization of of over 300 youth, they would be able to come together to make an impact on the community. As a result, over 400 non-perishable items were collected throughout the season.

The winning team was the U8- Girls Purple People Eaters who were able to donate 135 non-perishable items as a team.

“Thanks to all of our players and parents we are able to continue supporting not only the game, but also many other worthwhile causes in our community. We work hard to not only grow our game but also show our youth the positive impact they can have at any age.” explained Karson Johnson, president of the Marshall County Youth Soccer Association.
