Work Zone with Occasional One Lane Traffic Along US 62 in Carlisle County starting Monday, November 12

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to establish a work zone along US 62 in Carlisle County starting on Monday, November 12, 2018.

This work zone along US 62 at Carlisle County milepoint 7.13 is to allow widening of a culvert and erosion mitigation work. This is along US 62 between Summers Road and St. Charles Road/KY 1820.

Most of the construction activity at this location with be off the roadway without causing traffic interruptions. However, from time to time one lane traffic will be required during daylight hours for the delivery of concrete and other materials to facilitate the work.

Harper Construction is the prime contractor. This work zone is expected to be active for about 4 to 6 weeks, depending on weather.

Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic from time to time with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
