Mrs. Edna Earl Free, age 87 of Gilbertsville, KY died on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. She attended Bethel Baptist Church. She worked for KY Dam Village in Housekeeping for 13 years, and 11 years for King Brothers Grocery Store.
Born Friday, August 28, 1931 in Benton, KY, she was the daughter of the late Herman Owen Cox and the late Redith (Sikes) Cox.
Surviving are sons, Rick Free of Benton, KY and Terry Free of Benton, KY, daughter, Joyce Ann Jones of Gilbertsville, KY, sisters, Glenda Davis of Gilbertsville, KY and Wanda English of Benton, KY; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur Fred Free, brother, Herbert Cox, and sisters, Velma Cox Free and Patricia Ford.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Charles LaChance officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home.
