This week’s Lyles Eye Center Team of the Week is the Lady Marshals soccer team who finished up their season on Monday when they hosted the semi-state round of the Girl’s Soccer State Tournament. The Lady Marshals lost 1-0 to Henderson County in a game that took two overtime periods and penalty kicks to decide.
Under the direction of Head Coach Michael Boone, they won their second straight district title this season, the 18th in program history and are the back-to-back Region One Champions. The Lady Marshals finished the season 14-8 and were 12-2 against region opponents, 9-2 in district play. Scoring 67 goals on the season, the Lady Marshals out-scored opponents in their 14 wins 61 to 4 with 10 shut-outs.
