Marshals second at Muhlenberg Co. Invitational

A team score of 313 was good for second place for the Marshals in Saturday’s Muhlenberg County Invitational at Central City Country Club. The team was led by Camdyn McLeod with a round of 74 tying for third place overall, followed by Tyler Powell with 77, Jay Nimmo 78, Nathan Clark 84 and Trey Wall 88. Drake Butler playing as an individual shot 92.

Last Thursday at Murray Country Club, the Marshals won their match with 158 against Trigg County second with 170 and Murray third with a team score of 200. Nimmo led with the low round of 36, Powell followed with 39, McLeod 41, Wall 42, Butler 44 and Preston Futrell 45. Welsh of Murray earned medalist with 35.

The Marshals will play their annual “Ryder Cup” match with Calloway County today (Sept. 17) at Benton Country Club then wrap up the regular season on Thursday at Paducah Country Club against St. Mary. The boy’s Regional Tournament will take place September 25th at Paxton Park in Paducah.
