Westbound Work Zone on I-24 in McCracken County starting Tuesday, September 11

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet an ongoing work zone lane restriction along I-24 WESTBOUND in McCracken County starting Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

Westbound traffic on I-24 will be restricted to one lane starting near the 16 mile marker and moving westward over the next few weeks to allow brush cutting behind guardrail and along the right of way.

This moving work zone will be active between approximately 8:00 a.m., CDT, and 2:00 p.m., each day, anytime weather allows.

Over about the next two weeks this work zone will advance along the westbound lanes to the I-24 Ohio River Bridge.  The crew will then turn and work back through McCracken County along the I-24 Eastbound lanes from about the 1 mile marker to the 16 mile marker.

KYTC engineers will attempt to provide updates on the location of this moving work zone from time to time as the work progresses.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and other personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
