Murray State’s School of Nursing and Health Professions presents check for Bailey Holt Memorial Scholarship

Members of Bailey Holt’s family were joined at the check presentation by MSU Interim President Dr. Bob Jackson, Board of Regents Chairman Susan Guess and faculty, staff and students with MSU’s School of Nursing and Health Professions.

Murray State University’s School of Nursing and Health Professions presented a check from fundraising initiatives and other support to the family of Bailey Holt, for the Bailey Holt Memorial Scholarship. The check presentation took place outside Waterfield Library on the Murray State campus on Thursday.

In February, a partnership between the University’s School of Nursing and the Kentucky Nurses Association led to the creation of the Bailey Holt Memorial Nursing Scholarship to honor Holt, one of two Marshall County High
School students who lost their lives during the tragic events at Marshall County High School in January. Holt’s professional ambitions included becoming an obstetrical nurse.
