Lake Chem to break ground on new Murray location

After Lake Chem Community Federal Credit Union’s initial debut in Murray-Calloway County in 2011, this August they are building a new location to better serve its members. The ground breaking ceremony will be at 5:30 pm July 31st at the new location, 1105 Octane Drive, Murray, Kentucky 42071.

For 7 years, Lake Chem Community Federal Credit Union has offered competitive rates on home loans, personal loans, automobile and recreational loans to the Murray-Calloway County Community. Along with their free checking, they also offer savings accounts, IRA’s, and CD’s. But what they love to offer the community the most is their customer service. They take pride in their ability to go above and beyond for their members, even taking the time to know their member’s names.

Lake Chem Federal Credit Union was originally founded to serve the employees of the B. F. Goodrich Chemical plant located in Calvert City, Kentucky and was federally chartered in June 1971.

In 2005 they were approved by NCUA to change their charter from a common bond charter to a community charter allowing them to offer services to the whole of Marshall County. At that time the Board of Directors changed the credit union’s name to Lake Chem Community Federal Credit Union. They then expanded the charter to include Calloway County in 2011.
