Second Justice Conference held, goal to develop unity and cohesion

May 17th, 2018, Kentucky’s 42nd Judicial Circuit hosted it’s second annual “Justice Conference.” Started last year by Marshall and Calloway Circuit Judge, Jamie Jameson, the event brings together law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and others who work in the regional justice system for the purpose of developing unity and cohesion in our local courts and associated systems. Over 130 attorneys, law enforcement, DOC employees, and numerous others attended the event where they heard from presenters from all across Kentucky speak on various educational subjects relevant to law enforcement and the justice system.

“Last year was such a success, local members of the justice system wanted to do it again this year. Thanks to the help of Murray State University, MSU police, and many others, the event this year was an extraordinary success,” said Judge Jameson. “We hope to be able to continue this event every year and expand even more. This year, the event was opened up to agencies and lawyers outside of Marshall and Calloway counties. We would like to grow our attendance population from the region. We had great speakers from all across Kentucky representing Kentucky State Police and most all local police agencies, and attorneys from across the state as well.”

The annual Justice Conference is the only event of its kind in Kentucky hosted by a local court system in combination with the Marshall and Calloway County bar associations.
