Marshals notch first ever win over McCracken County

Jackson Beal steals second base in the Marshals 4-3 win over McCracken County.
Brock Anderson picked up the win over McCracken County in seven innings on the mound, allowing seven hits, three runs and striking out two.

Marshall County won 4-3 in a walk-off over McCracken County, the programs first win over the Mustangs in the five years since the schools consolidation. McCracken County took the early 2-0 lead, scoring runs on two sacrifice hits by Brandon Dodd and Jacob Ehling.

The Marshals tied the game at 2-2 in the third inning, scoring on a single by CJ Johnson and an error.

In the top of the seventh, Austin Stockdale walked, Jackson Beal singled and Ty Buchmeier walked to load the bases. Johnson took a walk that scored Stockdale for the tie and the walk-off win came on a sacrifice by Cole Griggs that brought in Beal for the 4-3 win.

Brock Anderson earned the win pitching all seven innings, allowing seven hits, three runs and struck out two.

Skyler Brown threw a no-hitter in the Marshals 10-0 win in five innings over Hopkinsville on Reagan Field at Murray State University on Monday. In five innings, Brown struck out 14 and walked five.

The Marshals scored runs in all five innings led by Dalton Andersson with a double, triple, RBI and Tyler Belcher with a couple of singles and three RBI’s.
