CFS Lady Eagles win last five to finish 15-7

Christian Fellowship’s Lady Eagles wrapped up their regular season Tuesday, finishing with a five-game win streak to improve to 15-7. The win-streak began May 10th with an 8-5 win over Dawson Springs. Maddie Ortt led the hitters, going three for four with two RBI’s and pitched seven innings in the win, allowing 14 hits and five runs.

May 11 in a double-header at Fort Campbell, the Lady Eagles took the first game 19-3 on 21 hits, led by Edie Little who went three for four at the plate with four RBI’s, Abigail Cima and Rachel Howard hit doubles and a triple came off the bat of Emma Fletcher. Ortt earned the win in six innings, allowing six hits, three runs and struck out six.

In their second game of the double-header, CFS defeated Fort Campbell 26-7 on 17 hits led by Howard who was three for three with a double, triple and six RBI’s and Cima who went three for four at the plate with a home run and three RBI’s. Ortt pitched four innings, allowed eight hits, seven runs and struck out four.

In their final two games of the season Monday at home, the Lady Eagles hosted Fort Campbell in another double-header, winning the first game 18-0 and the second 15-0. Little was two for two with a double, triple and three RBI’s to lead the CFS batters in the first game. CFS scored 13 runs in the first inning in a game that went two and a half innings with Ortt on the mound, allowing two hits and striking out four batters.

The Lady Eagles opened game two with another 13-run first inning on their way to a 3-inning 15-0 win on 12 hits. Cima and Little both hit doubles, Howard was two for two with two RBI’s and Ortt two for two with three RBI’s.
