Marshall County High School students Cameron King and Tessa Northcutt have received the National Speech & Debate Association’s Academic All American Award.

The award is given in recognition of academic rigor, competitive speech and debate success and personal excellence to student members of the Association. It recognizes those students who have completed at least five semesters of high school, have earned the degree of Superior Distinction in the Association’s Honor Society, have achieved rigorous criteria for GPA or test score requirements, and who have demonstrated outstanding character and leadership.

Of the Association’s over 141,000 student members across the country, fewer than 500 earn the Academic All American Award each year.
