Lady Eagles claim KCAC Tournament title

Christian Fellowship Lady Eagles played games Saturday as part of the KCAC Tournament. The three-team tournament became a two-team tournament when Heritage Christian choice to not attend. The Lady Eagles played a double-header at HH Lovett Park in Benton against Portland Christian, winning both games 13-1 and 10-0.

The Lady Eagles 10-0 win in the first game came in six inning on 15 hits. Edie Little was 4 for 5 at the plate with six RBI’s, Jayden Jackson 3 for 4, Jaycie Jackson 2 for 3, Rachel Howard 2 for 4 with a double and Ashley Kendall 2 for 3. Maddie Ortt pitched the win in six innings, allowing one hit, no runs and struck out six.

They followed that up with a 13-1 win in five innings on six hits. Howard had a double and two RBI’s, Maggie Choate three RBI’s, Jayden Jackson was 2 for 3 with an RBI, Ortt 1 for 4 with an RBI and two RBI’s each to Ashley Kendall and Emma Fletcher. Ortt pitched five innings, allowed five hits, one run and struck out one.

All-Tournament Team selections were Howard, Little and Ortt. The Lady Eagles improve to 6-5 and are scheduled to play a double-header at home today against Fort Campbell.
