Eagles win KCAC Tournament over Portland Christian

While the Lady Eagles played in Benton, the Eagles hosted Portland Christian at their home field in the KCAC Tournament, also a double-header with Portland Christian after Heritage Christian pulled out of the tournament. The Eagles won both games 14-2 and 7-6.

In their 14-2 win – Mikey Bivin, Zach Tracy and Andrew Zabawa hit doubles, two hits came from Ethan Binkley and one each by Beau Wilson, Jaret Logsdon, Elijah Mull and Jacob Reed. Bivin and Tracy recorded three RBI’s, two from Wilson and one each by Binkley, Logsdon, Reed and Fletcher. Binkley pitched five inning, allowing four hits, two runs and struck out eight.

A double and single by Logsdon led the Eagles in their 7-6 win in game two of the double-header. Bivin had three hits, two from Reed and one each by Binkley, Zabawa, Tracy and Fletcher. Logsdon and Tracy had two RBI’s each and one RBI by Bivin and Reed. Zabawa picked up the win on the mound in two innings, allowing two hits, two runs and struck out three. Wilson pitched the first three innings, allowing two hits, four runs and struck out seven.

All Tournament Team selections went to Binkley, Bivin and Logsdon. The Eagles are 3-3 and are scheduled to play at Mayfield today at 5:00.
