Stormy weekend predicted for Marshall County

The National Weather Service in Paducah issued a hazardous weather outlook Friday afternoon with a chance of severe storms coming through the area.

Marshall County — along with most of western Kentucky — has a chance for thunderstorms overnight Friday into early Saturday morning. According to the NWS, “The primary severe weather related hazard is damaging winds. Large hail and tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Locally heavy rainfall is also expected.”

Another round of storms are predicted Saturday afternoon. One to three inches of rain have been predicted for the local area.
