Tennis team defeats Calloway County

Hayden Jaco pictured earlier this season, won his singles match 8-1 and doubles match with Keifer Court 8-2 over Calloway County Tuesday.

Marshall County tennis defeated Calloway County on Monday, April 10, handing the Lakers their first loss of the season. The girls and boys both won their matches 5-4.

“We were very proud of our kids’ efforts during this match”, Coach Kelly Chumbler said. “Calloway County was undefeated at this time and this was a tremendous boost for our kids in playing such a worthy opponent, especially during 40 degree temperatures.”

The team will play at Ballard Memorial Thursday at 4:15.
